Floating Wind
Antaeus Ultralift is actively involved in engineering services for floating wind energy solutions. Our work to date includes technical evaluation of various floater designs, such as turret-based floaters, and conceptual development of multiple floating foundation concepts.
We have conducted detailed structural analysis of floating systems using a combination of supernodes, solid elements, and shell models in finite element simulations. These methods help assess stress distribution and fatigue resistance at primary structural members and critical high-load connection points.
Our expertise also covers advanced hydrodynamic assessments and time-domain structural response analysis for floating wind platforms. Beyond our in-house capabilities, we collaborate under a formal technical agreement, which grants us access to Deeplines software. This tool offers a fully integrated hydrodynamic and aerodynamic model for floating wind turbine systems, accounting for the dynamic interaction of the tower, nacelle, and rotor blades.
Additional work includes structural analysis for alternative systems, such as the SeaTwirl vertical-axis floating wind concept.
